The new GR series large format cutter integrates with Roland software and print devices, as well as other manufacturers' software and printers. Featuring Roland’s famously precise and reliable CAMM-1 technology, GR cutters far exceed the needs of today’s graphics professionals with outstanding media versatility, speed, accuracy, and state-of-the-art cutting features.
A new blade holder features two blade positions with the rear position designed for perforated cutting. A specially designed cutting groove in the platen enables the blade to cut clean and avoid unwanted damage to your blade. This makes the GR perfect for creating pop-out decals and packaging prototypes.
Roland Quadralign™ optical registration system automatically recognizes printer crop marks on printed media. Combine an existing large format printer with a GR cutter for an exact and efficient contour cut graphics workflow.
Includes Roland CutStudio software and combines easily with other industry-standard software. Plugins for Adobe Illustrator (Mac and PC) and Corel Draw (PC) are also available as additional web downloads.
Roland CutStudio allows designers to quickly and easily enlarge, reduce, re-position, rotate and mirror images. BMP, JPG, STX, AI, and EPS file formats are all supported. The latest version includes new scaling and cut-layer outputting functions.
An LCD control panel and other advanced features give users complete control. In addition to smart new pinch rollers and "on-the-fly" pen force adjustment, GR cutters enable users to manually adjust blade offset values for added cutting precision, store up to 2MB of preset cutting data, and easily follow the status of each cutting job with a handy LED status light. GR large format cutters also feature an Ethernet port to connect your cutter to a network for a streamlined workflow.
Powerful features and a stylish new machine build offer users unmatched speed and cutting strength.
GR cutters feature overcutting (tangential emulation) of .04 inches (1 mm) to ensure sharp edges. Overcutting corners is the process in which the blade travels past the cut line before the blade is lifted, turned and rotated toward the new cut direction in advance of the new cut line. The result is sharp, clean cuts with easy to weed corners.
The innovative features, outstanding versatility and incredible ease-of-use of the GR Series are just the beginning. With Roland, you get a product known for day-to-day reliability and long lasting durability. To back it up, GR series cutters come with an industry-best 3-Year Trouble-Free Warranty*.
