The 350 Booklet System is Duplo’s mid-range solution, integrating the heavy-duty DSC-10/60 Suction Collator with the DBM-350 Bookletmaker. Increase productivity by eliminating inefficient job set ups. Ideal for medium job lengths, the 350 Booklet System produces a wide range of offset and digitally printed applications, from catalogs and newsletters to manuals and collated work, at a maximum speed of 3,000 booklets per hour.
Get jobs out the door much quicker by eliminating manual set ups. Using the LCD control panel on the DBM-350 Bookletmaker, you can quickly program jobs and make fine-tune adjustments. Simply select or enter a custom paper size and the bookletmaker will automatically set the stich, fold, and trim setting.
Use the built-in memory to save up to 20 of your most common jobs and retrieve them as needed. Changeovers from one size to another are performed automatically within minutes and without any manual intervention or tooling required.
With the ability to process output from multiple presses and finish booklets at faster speeds than in-line systems, off-line collating provides the flexibility to do more.
The DSC-10/60 incorporates Duplo’s signature air suction belt feeder and air management system, making it one of the most reliable collators in the industry. Each of its 10 bins comes built-in with fine adjustments and patented dual fan technology that generates a steady flow of air for separation and feeding. The collator detects which bins are loaded.
High resolution sensors are located in each bin to detect any misfeeds and double feeds. The preset function automatically calibrates the sensors to allow the feeding of different paper types and weighs. Any faulty sets are diverted into a reject tray and can be re-inserted into the hand-marry station. When a bin empties, the collator can switch to the next programmed tower for non-stop productivity.
Automating the bookletmaking process means less make-ready and more productivity. The DBM-350/T integrates the stitcher, folder, and face trimmer into one efficient system — eliminating the task of setting and folding signatures separately.
As each set is collated and jogged into alignment, the push belt transport system guides it through the stitching section and only moves when the booklet is ready to prevent any static build-up. Equipped with two heavy-duty DeLuxe stitch heads, the bookletmaker automatically positions the stitch and adjusts the fold roller gap according to the thickness of the spine. Booklets are trimmed at the fore-edge for a clean finish and waste is deposited into an external bin for easy removal.
Collated sets can also be manually fed directly into the bookletmaker. Customize the system with a number of cost-effective options including small booklet, side/corner stitch, and 6-page insert kits to meet your application needs.
It’s the finishing touch in professional bookletmaking. Squared back booklets lay flat, keep pages secured, and make packing and shipping more efficient. Create value-added booklets with a perfect bound look using the DSS-350 Square Spine module. It can be configured in-line with the 350 Booklet System or used as a standalone unit.
Add the DCR-ST Cross Stacker or DBM-400STR Deep Pile Stacker for collating jobs. Connected between the collator and bookletmaker, the DCR-ST can cross or straight stack up to 4,000 sets per hour. The receiving tray rotates 90 degrees at each set interval and a bypass bridge redirects the sheets to the bookletmaker when not in use.
The DBM-400STR offers a high capacity option for straight and offset stacking. Placed at the right side of the collator, it can process up to 9,800 sets per hour.
