The small foot-print of the Esper DM-230V means it can be easily located in most environments. The DM-230V generates just 76.6 db of noise during operation and in terms of power, it only draws 1.1kw during operation.

The comparatively low procurement cost and compact size of an Esper DM-230V unit means that a user can invest in multiple units rather than one larger single system. This offers the advantages of flexibility in terms of being able to position the units more easily; catering for changes from a centralized to decentralized production; and in the unlikely event of any downtime issues, having multiple modules rather than a single large system, provides built-in back up, so you can still get the job out the door!

Fast Turnaround

The Esper DM-230V is ideal for both short and long runs. Loading each bin is fast, with jobs being ready to run in just a matter of minutes. Operating at speeds of up to 9,000 sets/hr, the Esper DM-230V is designed for the fast production turnaround required in direct marketing campaigns. Productivity is further enhanced by a ‘Load-on-the-Run’ facility — meaning no down time. The “Cascade Function” can be programmed, to handle large volumes of a few inserts as well as thicker folded stocks, so that productivity is maintained. This is achieved by the next bin feeding as soon as the previous bin empties.

Simple Operation

The Esper DM-230V couldn’t be easier for operators to learn and use. Its user-friendly features include: a color LCD touch screen control panel; controls conveniently located next to each bin for easy operation; and LED indicator lights on each programmable bin to advise of the feeding status at any given moment. A paper separator slide on each bin enables a fast & simple changeover from thin to thicker documents. The Esper also has an optional stacking and elevator unit, the DMSE, which provides easy and convenient unloading for the operator. Each completed set is conveyed to the stacker which automatically raises a pre-defined quantity of completed sets to a convenient height — adjustable by the operator — for unloading. For invoices and other personalized documents, there is also an optional detection kit to ensure 100% set integrity.

Reliable Feeding

‍

The Esper DM-230V has been professionally designed and engineered to ensure the accurate feeding and delivery of sets time after time. The patented ‘Just Timing’ function using independent feeding motors, aligns the edges of each sheet prior to feeding, ensuring consistent pick-up of even the most awkward stocks. Detectors throughout the system constantly monitor the operating condition of each bin: in the case of a bin empty, paper jam or stack full condition arising, the DM-230V will automatically stop and a buzzer will sound; “near-empty” detectors give the operator advanced warning to reload bins; and when a misfeed is detected, the incorrect set is automatically diverted into a built-in reject tray, allowing the machine to run uninterrupted, thereby further increasing productivity.
